Don’t be afraid of Yourself 👻

By Jo

Life doesn’t give us do-overs, and that includes embarrassing moments. Once they happen, they stick with you. Trust me, I’ve had my fair share of cringeworthy, corny, and downright shameful experiences. It’s like a highlight reel of moments you’d rather forget. But that’s just it – you can’t forget, and you can’t go back.

So what do you do? You embrace it. You take those moments, and instead of running from them, you learn from them. You prepare for the next time life puts the spotlight on you, and when that opportunity comes, you’re ready. These moments are what shape you into the person you’re proud to be. They teach resilience, and that’s something you earn every single step of the way.

The key is not letting your internal voice tear you down. You can either fold and let those moments defeat you, or you can get back up and adjust. I’m tired of letting past mistakes hold me back. The only way to promote real change is by deciding who you want to be moving forward and working relentlessly toward it.

When you reach that point—where you’re comfortable in your own skin—that’s when you start winning at life.

Peaks & Valleys  🌄

By Marcus

Life has a funny way of humbling you when you least expect it. If you’ve been fortunate enough to be on your way to new heights in your life or career, you know it’s a great feeling.

On the inverse, when things aren’t going so well, the memories of the good times can begin to fade. Spend too much time deep in the dumps, and it can feel like it’s impossible to get out.

How do you navigate the lows, maintain consistency, and keep pushing ahead in times like these?

The Climb Back Up

This is the stage where “putting your head down and doing the work” is the most applicable.

Finding your way back is tough. It’s the dirty work that most people don’t see or understand. It’s truly a battle that is happening in your head.

Perseverance and discipline are a must at this stage because the road ahead is a long one. The wins may not feel as big, and your progress may not be observed or acknowledged by others.

Working when you don’t feel like it is your “new normal” here. Eventually, it becomes a habit, but at first, it will feel like you are trying to perform a miracle every day.

Embrace it!

View From the Top

You can’t change the past. Use the journey to gain a new perspective on how and why you got where you are.

Your climb back up will build a new level of resilience that will make it harder for you to be knocked off your game next time around.

The journey is the hardest when you’re going through it in real time. Continue to lock in, push forward, and remain in control of your future.

"There is no mountain top without the climb. The climb builds character, and the top offers perspective."
