Embarking on the job hunt rollercoaster in your twenties and thirties? Buckle up, because it's not just a journey; it's an adventure. Here's the lowdown on the common struggles we face and how to turn them into stepping stones toward where you want to be.
Ever feel like you're drowning in a sea of job postings, each demanding a laundry list of skills? You're not alone. Cut through the noise by spotlighting your core talents. Make your applications pop by showing how your unique skills align with the vibe of the companies you're eyeing.
Ah, the waiting game. In a world where we're used to instant everything, waiting for job responses can feel like an eternity. Use this time wisely. Level up your skills, expand your network, and fine-tune your game plan. The next opportunity might just be around the corner. Look into obtaining certifications that show & prove you are committed to the work you do!!!!
Rejections sting, no doubt. But guess what? They're not dead ends; they're detours. Embrace the lessons, ask for feedback, and bounce back stronger. Your perfect match is out there; it just might take a few tries to find it.
Networking in the digital age is a game-changer, but it's not always a walk in the park. Build those connections by showing up at virtual events, diving into online communities, and engaging with professionals in your field. Real relationships can open doors you never knew existed.
Welcome to the era of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), where algorithms rule. Outsmart them by sprinkling your resume with keywords from the job description. Get past the digital gatekeepers and let your unique personality shine in the interview.
Job hunting is an art, and adaptability is your secret weapon. Embrace the challenges, see them as growth opportunities, and keep your eyes on the prize. Your dream job is just a few hurdles away. Stay positive, stay persistent, and let the journey shape you into the unstoppable force that you are. The future is yours for the taking!

Overcoming Dark Times ⏰

Winter came and it never went away.
Have you ever found yourself in a season of your life that never seems to change? Do you wake up each day feeling like Bill Murray in the movie Groundhog Day?
It’s tough to navigate and sometimes you may even forget how you ended up in your current situation to begin with. You exist so long in your current state that you lose hope or slowly (and perhaps unknowingly) begin to accept your circumstances.
This is the trap.
We need to close the gap between the current you and the ideal you.
Enter The MacGyver Method.
If you don’t know who MacGyver is, MacGyver was the main character of an 80’s TV show centered around a secret agent who would use everyday items to solve complex problems. He would do crazy things like use a paperclip to close an electrical circuit or use a pen, duct tape and a lighter to make a dart gun. I told you… crazy things.
The point here is creating a way out of a difficult situation using what you have available.
There are two main traits that you will need to develop. They are adaptability and problem-solving.
Adaptability is a superpower. This gives you the ability to be flexible in response to new conditions, challenges, or changes in your environment.
Develop your adaptability by thinking of a current problem and ask yourself, “what’s another way I can solve this problem”. Let your brain go to work!
Problem-solving is another powerhouse. The ability to think in solutions vs. focusing on the problem.
Develop your problem solving by training yourself to think, “how can I fix this” when confronted with a problem. This will put you in a space to be a known problem solver and value creator!
Take what’s available and make the most of it. The effort adds up, and you’ll find yourself closing the gap to becoming the best version of yourself!
Your winter is coming to an end.
Spring forward.
UNTIL NEXT TIME…
