Who will Remember Me?☔
By Jo

At some point in life, we all ask ourselves… How will I be remembered? The answer isn’t always straightforward, and truthfully, it isn’t entirely in our control. A legacy is the sum of our actions, the impact we leave on others, and the way time shapes our memory in the minds of those who follow.
A legacy can be positive, inspiring future generations to strive for greatness, or it can be tainted by mistakes, regrets, and perceptions we may never get the chance to correct. The reality is, no one gets to decide exactly how they are remembered—history is written by those who live on. However, we do have the power to shape our contributions, values, and efforts while we are still here.
Some build their legacy through innovation and ambition, leaving behind knowledge, wealth, or creations that change the world. Others shape theirs through kindness, mentorship, and relationships—ensuring that their presence leaves a lasting imprint on the people they’ve touched. And then, there are those whose legacies are more complicated, filled with both triumph and hardship, depending on who tells the story.
But one of the hardest truths to accept is that not everything is within our control. No matter how carefully we plan or how hard we work, life has a way of shifting, evolving, and sometimes throwing curveballs that we never saw coming. And that’s where understanding the difference between when to act and when to let go becomes critical.
It’s not necessarily about balance—it’s about awareness. When an opportunity or a challenge arises that aligns with your vision, your values, or your responsibilities, you have to recognize it and take action. Whether it’s defending your name, stepping up in a crucial moment, or making a move that could change your future, you have to seize the moment. But just as important is knowing when something is beyond your reach. When forces outside of your influence are at play, when people’s perceptions are out of your control, or when a situation is unfolding that doesn’t serve your greater purpose—those are the times to step back, let it play out, and redirect your focus to something that does matter.
The key is not allowing frustration over uncontrollable factors to derail you from the things that truly require your attention. Wasting energy on things outside your power only takes away from what you can influence. Instead of reacting emotionally to every challenge, think strategically. Ask yourself: Is this a fight worth engaging in? Does my input change the outcome? Is my energy better spent elsewhere?
At the end of the day, your legacy isn’t just about what you do—it’s about what you choose to give your energy to. The person who learns to navigate this with clarity will not only build something meaningful but will do so with purpose, wisdom, and a sense of peace.
So, the real question isn’t just how will you be remembered—it’s what are you doing today to shape that memory, and where are you focusing your energy to make it count?
Time Moves On ⏱️

Time is undefeated.
It doesn’t wait. It doesn’t stop. And it certainly doesn’t care if you’re ready.
Yet, we spend so much of our lives trying to make our mark—to prove we were here, that we mattered, that we did something worth remembering.
Ego plays a powerful role in this. It drives how we view ourselves and fuels our actions. We chase meaning, seek purpose, and push toward something greater. But in the grand scheme of things, how much of what we do really lasts?
We never chose to be here. Our parents made that decision for us. We weren’t given an opt-in button for life. We just showed up and now we have to figure it out.
Big Dreams, Little Time
When I think about time, I imagine a single drop of water in the ocean. That’s me. That’s you. A blip on the radar compared to the millions of years before us and the millions that will come after.
It’s humbling when I consider it that way.
Years ago, when I started my business, I had big dreams—to build something different, something meaningful. I envisioned bringing like-minded people together, creating real impact, and maybe even earning a little recognition along the way.
At the time, I truly wanted to help people, but if I’m being honest, there was also a desire to make a name for myself in the process. I thought legacy-building was part of success. But it didn’t work out that way.
And honestly, it was a real failure.
In time, I realized my focus was too centered on myself and not others. I do my best work when I’m the last person in the equation. Over time, my work—including this newsletter—became less about what I could gain and more about what I could give.
These days, I’m more of an afterthought.
I don’t know what that means for me, but I try to create something each week that will help someone at some point.
Control What You Can Control
Try your best to live life on your own terms. In the end, time keeps moving, with or without you.
If you can do work that gives you fulfillment and meaning, that’s a win. If you create something that lasts beyond you, even better. But if your work or impact isn’t received the way you hoped—so what?
You tried.
That’s all you can do.
At the end of the day, we don’t decide what lasts.
Time makes that decision for us.
