The Art of Being Alone
By Jo
In a society that extols the virtues of constant connection, the art of being alone often takes a back seat. Yet, there's a profound beauty in solitude that merits exploration—delving into the good, the bad, and the ugly, all leading to a path of happiness.
The Good:
Being alone is an opportunity for profound self-discovery. It offers a sanctuary for introspection, fostering personal growth, independence, and self-reliance. Creativity flourishes, and undivided attention to individual passions becomes possible.
The Bad:
However, the solitude journey isn't without challenges. Loneliness can cast its shadow, accompanied by feelings of isolation. Societal expectations may amplify these emotions, making it crucial to acknowledge and address the negative aspects of being alone.
The Ugly:
Solitude may also unveil uncomfortable truths or past traumas, demanding resilience. Yet, facing the ugly side of being alone is integral to the journey of self-awareness and growth.
Finding Happiness in Solitude:
Happiness in solitude stems from intentional acceptance. Embracing alone time as an avenue for self-improvement and introspection builds self-worth and resilience. The ability to find joy in one's own company becomes a powerful tool for navigating life's challenges with confidence.
Conclusion:
In a world emphasizing constant connectivity, the art of being alone is a multifaceted experience. Acknowledging the positive aspects, navigating challenges, and finding happiness within oneself allows individuals to master this art, unlocking doors to personal growth and fulfillment.

The thing about Squid Game is the players in the games know who they are competing against… to an extent. I recently watched the newest edition to the franchise, Squid Game: The Challenge, and it made me think about YOUR competition.
Are you in competition with anyone right now? Do you know who your competition is?
If you don’t know, you NEED to know!
I know that your dream is your dream, but haven’t you met or heard of others with similar goals? In the increasingly digital world we live in, the opportunities seem endless. Depending on your journey, your competition could be your friends, neighbors, companies, entrepreneurs, anyone across the globe or even technology (don’t sleep on artificial intelligence).
There are approximately 8 billion people in the world. How bad do you want it?
More times than not we don’t know everyone who is working toward a similar goal. There won’t always be market share for all the players. In some games there can only be one or a few winners. That’s the reality of it. How do you separate yourself from the challengers you can and can’t see?
At this stage in the game taking your foot of the gas could be the worst move. Your competition may be counting on it. Remember as you compete with known and unknown challengers that you’re different from the rest.
Why is that?
Because You always have one more left in you.
One more rep
One more minute
One more hour
One more day
One more week
One more month
One more year
One more try
One more of whatever is required
Just do one more so you have a chance to win.
The extra mile is far less traveled. Reserved for those who continue to compete.
