Counting other people’s pockets, their fortune, or successful ventures will only lead to confusion, resentment, and unnecessary negativity. It’s one thing to be competitive—competition can push you to grow—but it’s another thing entirely when you don’t have your own vision. Simply seeing someone else with success, without having the drive to pursue your own goals, will leave you stuck in a cycle of comparison and frustration. The reality is simple: you are not them, and they are not you. Everyone’s journey is different, and comparing yourself to others won’t move you any closer to your own vision.

If you truly want something that’s attainable, you have to put in the work. There's no shortcut to success. The good news is, the more effort you put in, the more likely you are to catch breaks along the way. And when the universe recognizes your commitment and hard work, it often rewards you in unexpected ways. These rewards may not always come when you expect them, but they will come when you’re ready.

The key is to cherish the gifts you receive along your journey. Success isn’t just about achieving goals—it’s about appreciating the process and continuing to work toward even greater things. So instead of focusing on others, build your own vision, stay dedicated to it, and trust that when you give your all, the universe will notice.

Are You Tired of Faking It? 😩

Is the daily grind wearing you out? Do you feel like you don’t have enough “me time”?

We all have roles that we play professionally and personally.

Each role has a hidden “tax” that we pay. By understanding this, we gain a better understanding of the major contributors to the fatigue you may be feeling.

Let’s review a couple today.

The Professional Tax

We all know some customers, clients, and people we work with in general will be difficult. No one expects 100% pleasant clients and coworkers.

Professionals understand this, and it’s part of being in the workforce. You take the good and the bad.

However, being a friendly, helpful, and productive employee takes a toll on us all. If you have time, look into call center employees burnout.

The Social Media Tax

With social media now being a regular part of our lives, it’s hard to escape. Even for those of us who use social media as a tool vs. entertainment, it can be an exhausting experience.

I see so many “well-curated” posts and regularly think, do people really believe this? Many posts I see are people portraying an image they think others want to see.

I may gravitate a bit more towards authenticity. I think there’s a way to blend both, or maybe I’m missing the mark here?

Making Time for Your Authentic Self

There are more taxes, like the “Friends & Family Tax,” that we pay as well. There are always times when certain relationships can be draining.

It’s important to understand which taxes drain you the most, so you can attempt to maintain a healthy state.

When you are able to be your authentic self instead of an “image” of what you think others want, it can be life changing.

Take time to reflect and analyze what’s wearing you out and MAKE the time to self-correct if possible.

In between the roles you play, take some time to stay true to yourself.
